Bradford Services Protocol: Children’s Services and Substance Misuse Services

The purpose of this Joint Services Protocol  is to promote effective communication and working relationships between staff within Substance Misuse Services, and Children and Family Services in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people (including young carers) whose lives are affected by substance using parents or carers.


Non-Engaging Pathway

There is a Non-Engaging Pathway to help professionals work together for families with children and young people who are failing to engage with services leading to professional concern about unknown or emerging risk.

There is guidance, a flow-chart to follow and a template letter to use as part of the process:
